COURSE: 12 hrs RIC

12 hours of driving with a qualified instructor including 2 or 4 hours around the vicinity of the evaluation center of the S.A.A.Q. to prepare yourself for the road test. Computer assisted theory class is free (if necessary or as a refresher).

12 certified hours of practical driving lessons is the minimum required by law in Quebec in order for a driver's ed course to be certified. Certified driver's Ed courses of at least 12 hours successfully completed by the student entitles the bearer the privilege to request a discount on car insurances on up to 40%. For those who don't have a car for practice or can't borrow their friend's or family's vehicule, the 18 hour intensive is recommended.
